On Thursday, 3rd October, the Halifax Borough Market buzzed with energy and community spirit as it hosted our annual Food Gathering. The event embodied Calderdale Food Network’s mission of making healthy, affordable, and sustainable food accessible to everyone in Calderdale where the gathering drew a fantastic turnout of attendees eager to support the local food movement.

Our friends at Calderdale Ecological Land Trust have worked with funding from the Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC) to produce a remarkable video showcasing their impactful work in promoting food growing across Calderdale with the Grow & Graze project.

The video highlights the fantastic efforts and progress made by the project, particularly emphasising the achievements of the growers at Hebden Bridge Market Garden.

We are delighted to invite you to the 2024 Calderdale Food Gathering which will take place on Thursday October 3rd from 1.00-6.00pm at Halifax Borough Market.

The event which will be hosted by Calderdale Food Network will be an opportunity for all those involved in food to come together to celebrate positive actions, share ideas and taste and see what Calderdale has to offer.
